Best of Northern-East Bali Tour

Today you will take a stop a Pura Gunung Kawi Temple, which is Bali’s own Valley of the Kings. Here there are ancient royal tombs carved into a steep cliff wall at the bottom of a river valley. It is a great spot to soak up some interesting culture and history as well as a chance to get some good photos.
From here you will drive to Penglipuran Traditional Village and Bamboo Forest. This Village is unique because the residents who live there still maintain the philosophy of indigenous life that has been passed down from generation to generation. The Bamboo Forest has an area of tens of hectares and 14 types of bamboo grow here. In the forest you can enjoy the cool breeze and the musical sound of the leaves. This is because the wind makes the tree trunks rub against each other so they make sounds like an irregular musical ensemble.
Then stop at Besakih known as Bali’s ‘Mother Temple’. This complex of Hindu temples is the largest, holiest and most important on the island and miraculously survived the catastrophic volcanic eruption of 1963. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, it is nestled amid sweeping rice paddies, mountains and streams.
